Lydia’s Visitors are trained, lay volunteers who visit our homebound members on a regular basis. Due to chronic illness or physical disability our homebound members are unable to leave their homes and are therefore unable to join us at worship. However, they still want very much to be a part of the Good Shepherd community. A visit from another member of the Good Shepherd community helps not only to ease the loneliness, but also bring spiritual comfort through prayer, a loving touch and just knowing that others care. These visits benefit both our homebound members and our visitors because we leave feeling spiritually uplifted, having felt the presence of our Lord in their lives.
If you are interested in becoming one of Lydia’s Visitors, please contact Janice Rackovan at (610) 715-2601.
