Hearts & Hands endeavors to serve the needs of many far beyond the doors of Good Shepherd through varied mission projects that include making knitted, crocheted, quilted and sewn items to support people of all ages and walks of life.
Our mission projects include:
- Donating to Linus, World Vision and ConKerr Cancer
- Making caps for children and distribute them to local hospitals
- Donating hats and scarves the homeless of Norristown
- Creating hand-embroidered Baptismal linen napkins for each child baptized at Good Shepherd
- Collecting eyeglasses to aid the sight impaired at the Martin Luther Springs School
- Making “Little Dresses for Africa” to help curb the rate at which girls are abducted and molested because a decent dress deters potential assailants by suggesting that the child they are targeting is being looked after.
Hearts & Hands meets each Wednesday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm to plan activities and work on mission projects. The third Wednesday morning of each month includes a bible study led by Pastor John Kerr.
